About Helen Precey
BSc (Hons) MRCPod
HCPC Registered Podiatrist
I am the owner and Principal Podiatrist at Carshalton Podiatry. I qualified from the University of East London in 2009 with a First Class Honours degree in Podiatric Medicine.
I spent the first five years of my podiatry career working in the NHS, where I gained a wealth of experience treating a wide variety of foot conditions. This included everything from routine podiatry (chiropody), wound care, diabetic foot assessments, nail surgery and musculoskeletal conditions, to working with the high-risk diabetic foot patients at the Whittington Hospital.
In 2014 I moved into private podiatry practice for the flexibility it offered while my children were young. I have since worked at Tadworth Foot Clinic and the prestigious London Podiatry Centre, where I have continued to enhance my podiatry skills, particularly in musculoskeletal assessment of the lower limb, gait assessment and orthoses. I have also developed an interest in dermatology of the foot.
Having more time on my hands as my children grew, I opened Carshalton Podiatry in 2023. This exciting development allows me to take my career forward as an independent private practitioner, bringing together my experience from across my NHS and private work, creating the perfect space to focus on what I do best – getting people’s feet better!
I love my job and get huge satisfaction from being able to keep people walking, on healthy pain-free feet, and I thrive on being able to provide a high level of care to my patients. Over the years I have also built some wonderful patient-practitioner relationships which makes my job a real joy.
